Sci-Fi Film Club (3rd Thursday, 6 p.m.)

Sci-fi movie buffs are invited to join us for our next series of films. Watch, snack, and then discuss! Our Summer theme will feature comedy films set in space! Join us for laughs, classic movies, and discussions following all our films!

Free popcorn and drinks are provided courtesy of the Friends of the Stillwater Public Library. Attendees are invited to sign-up to bring additional snacks if they would like. Sign up here to bring snacks.
 
Preserving Family Photos (Thursdays, August 10, 17, & 24, at 7 p.m.)
 
Kay Bjornen will cover the many ways of organizing and preserving photos. The program is free and open to the public but we ask that you register so we know how many are attending. You can register here for the series. 
  • Aug. 10 - Planning: Learn the organization process and discover methods to store, sort, and display photos and documents. 
  • Aug. 17 - Hardcopies: Go over the hard process of weeding photos, creating descriptions, and repairing damages. 
  • Aug. 24 - Digitals: Tackle getting smartphone photos undercotrol, learn the best ways to make backups, and share with family.

Storytimes
Summer Storytime! Starting Friday, June 2
  • Monday Under 2s Storytimes at 9:30 a.m. & 10:30 a.m.
    • These storytimes are geared toward children 24 months or younger.
    • Short stories and songs followed by a stay-and-play time
    • Registration is not required, but you can receive weekly email reminders by using this LINK
  • Wednesday Outdoor Storytime at 9:30 am
    • Held outdoors at Southern Woods Park
    • Best for under 5 years of age.
    • Registration is not required, but you can receive weekly email reminders and weather updates by using this LINK
  • Friday Storytimes at 9:30 a.m. & 10:30 a.m.
    • These storytimes are geared toward children under 5 years of age.
    • Longer stories plus songs, rhymes, and early literacy activities
    • Registration is not required, but you can receive weekly email reminders by using this LINK 
  • 1st & 3rd Saturdays Storytimes are held at 10:30 a.m.
    • These storytimes are geared toward children under 5 years of age.
    • Registration is not required, but you can receive weekly email reminders by using this LINK
  • An adult must accompany the child during storytime. 
Chapter K2
A new storytime program for kids going into kindergarten through 2nd grade. The sessions will combine reading, singing, games and learning-based activities. Registration is not required but you can receive a weekly email reminder by using this LINK.
Sessions are on Mondays at 2pm starting on June 5th. 
 
Readers Theater (Fridays, Aug 4-Sept 8, 3:30 p.m.)
Children in grades 2-5 are invited to register for Reader's Theater to read fun theater scripts and learn about stage acting. This series will take place every Friday at 3:30pm throughout the month of August, and the first two Fridays in September. The August sessions will be held at the Stillwater Public Library and the September sessions will be held at the Stillwater History Museum (Sheerar).
