Two Books, One Community Book Discussions

This year, our community is reading two books. Sites across town will be hosting book discussions on one book, both books, and discussions with a twist. Attend as many as you like!

Books will be distributed beginning March 8 at our two kick-off events.

• The Twist: Enjoy a tea service and work on your sewing, knitting, cross-stitch, or other project, as the librarian reads selected, important passages from the books.

• The Twist:Discuss both books with an expert on the psychological impact of slavery in current fiction. Dr. Simpson is currently working with the Oklahoma Oral History Research Program to gather interviews from Oklahoma's Black towns. Her most recent writing is on the psychological impact of slavery in current fiction.
